OpenMRS:About

OpenMRS™ represents a collaborative effort to develop an open-source EMR for developing countries in the fight against HIV/AIDS, multi-drug resistant tuberculosis, malaria, and related health crises.

Our primary goal is to provide a common foundation upon which information systems and related tools may be built. By sharing a strong, scalable data model and common API, we hope to reduce the redundancy of efforts and facilitate the growth of a strong health informatics infrastructure within these neediest countries.
